Technical Tour - Enwave Pearl Street Energy Centre Green Heat™ Expansion

Join ASHRAE Toronto for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the new Enwave Green Heat™ Plant at the Pearl Street Energy Centre! Get a close-up look at how Enwave provides low-carbon heating through heat recovery from their district energy network. The new plant will have a capacity of 3,600 tons of cooling and 62,000 MBH of low-carbon heating, capable of displacing up to 11,600 tCO2e compared to traditional steam to hot water energy generation. By leveraging Enwave’s Deep Lake Water Cooling (DLWC) system, otherwise wasted heat can be recycled and upgraded through the electrified heat pump into hot water, to mark another step closer to a low-carbon future. We look forward to welcoming you on the tour.
Brought to you by the Sustainability and Young Engineers in ASHRAE (YEA) committees!
