EVENT SUMMARY
Join the Toronto ASHRAE Chapter for an insightful session on deep energy retrofits, featuring the 61 Yorkville project. A deep retrofit is a comprehensive approach to upgrading a Residential building’s systems to significantly reduce GHG emissions and energy consumption and is a vital step toward achieving net zero emissions.
About the Deep Retrofit Challenge:
The Deep Retrofit Challenge is a City of Toronto initiative aimed at accelerating deep energy retrofits in existing buildings to significantly reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The program supports projects that achieve at least a 50% reduction in both GHG emissions and energy use intensity, with a maximum grant of $500,000 per building.
The above project, delivered with Ecosystem Energy, showcases key improvements such as high-efficiency heat pumps, energy recovery systems, renewable energy generation, and EV charging infrastructure.
With Toronto aiming for net zero GHG emissions, deep retrofits like this will be essential city-wide. Don’t miss this opportunity & Register to learn from a leading example.
