HONEYWELL TECHNICAL TOUR

ASHRAE Toronto Chapter, together with Honeywell Energy Solutions Canada, will be facilitating a technical tour of Honeywell's state of the art, LEED certified headquarters in Markham, Ontario. Students will have the ability to truly appreciate the many challenges involved in designing, constructing and maintaining a green, mixed-use facility within a highly-populated, urban setting. A fully functional LEED Silver development, this 68,000 square foot facility houses over 400 highly talented and innovative Honeywell Building Solutions masterminds.

This technical tour event will include the following:
  • Transportation to Honeywell’s Headquarters (From Downsview Subway Station: University-Spadina Subway Line)
  • Brief introduction of the facility and project by a Honeywell facilities engineer
  • Full guided tour of Honeywell’s LEED Certified facility
  • Complete overview of the facility’s LEED features
  • Access to the Demo Controls Room – where highly innovative new Building Solutions controls are designed and tested
  • Transportation back to Downsview Subway Station from Honeywell’s Headquarters
All students must meet at Downsview Subway Station (map provided below) no later than 1:45 PM. Students will be transported to Honeywell’s Headquarters in Markham, Ontario via chartered bus. The tour commences promptly at 2:30 PM and will last approximately 2.0 hours. Students will be transported back to Downsview Subway Station, upon tour completion, for an expected arrival time of 5:30 PM. There is a $5.00 fee to participate in this technical tour. Students should register and pay for this event on-line through the Chapter website: www.TorontoAshrae.com (Meeting Registration and Calendar Link). Students who do not want to pay online must contact their Student Branch President for more details.

This event is open to ALL college and university students (both ASHRAE members and non-members). It is recommended that students become ASHRAE Society and Toronto Chapter members to ensure future participation in ASHRAE sponsored events.
