NOTICE OF MEETING - October 10th, 2017

Ryerson Laboratory at MaRS

ASHRAE Toronto Chapter invites you to the first ASHRAE Toronto dinner meeting of 2017-2018. Although we are starting our dinner meeting a week later than usual, the topic, speaker and venue could not be any better and is well worth the delay. We apologize for the delay in getting this meeting organized and the invite to you.

Highlights of Ryerson’s new MaRS space include multiple research workstations, shared office space for principal researchers, wet- and dry-laboratory spaces, controlled environment rooms, radioisotope and tissue culture facilities and a well-appointed suite of technologies, instruments and equipment designed to support leading-edge scientific enquiry.

Speaker - Chris Lee will share technical insights on hybrid HVAC system design for this innovative Ryerson Laboratory.

Table Top Presentation and Facility Tour, both events are sold out. Dinner Meeting spaces are filling up fast, register now!

Special Notice: Attention Student Members

As the theme of this dinner meeting is Student Promotion Night, ASHRAE Toronto Chapter would like to extend this notice of meeting to all interested college and university students. Students can register for this event at a discounted rate of $30 and an ASHRAE membership (both Society and Chapter) is not required for students to attend. However, registration is still required and no walk-in registrations will be permitted.

Speaker:

Chris Lee, B. Eng., LEED Green Associate

Designer - Mechanical

Smith + Andersen

A graduate from the University of Guelph, Chris has his B.Eng (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in Renewable Energies. Over the past three years working at Smith + Andersen, Chris has honed several areas of expertise, including the design of ventilation and cooling systems, laboratory systems design, load calculations, and energy analysis.
